Continuing its tradition of more than interesting expansions for Blitzkrieg, Ascaron Entertainment and CDV Software Entertainment present Blitzkrieg 2: Fall of the Reich for the PC, the first stand-alone expansion for the recently released Blitzkrieg 2 historical RTS.

Fall of the Reich covers three major offensives taking place in the final days on the Eastern Front. With Germany holding strategic cities in a bid to protect the Fatherland, and the Red Army relentlessly driving towards Berlin, the Spring of ‘45 saw some of the most vicious battles of the entire war.

‘Fall of the Reich’ covers both the Soviet and German offensives in the long Siege of Budapest, the incredible tenacity of Axis forces in holding “Fortress Kurland” and the Soviet “Operation Bagration” that freed Byelorussia and opened up Eastern Europe to the Red Army.

Sixteen historically based missions across ten new maps will challenge beginning and veteran strategists as they try to either capture or defend the remnants of the German war machine during the final days of WW2 in Europe. With four new multiplayer maps, four historically authentic units, and other features, I’m really curious to see the expansion in my little hands soon.
