All you need to know but were afraid to ask about: games, software, hardware and anything in between.
Atari Inc. is a majority owned subsidiary of Infogrames Entertainment SA, encompassing its North American operations. Atari develops, publishes and distributes games for all major video game consoles, as well as for the personal computer, and is currently one of the largest third-party publishers of video games in the United States.
The original Atari was a pioneer in arcade games, home video game consoles, and personal computers, and its dominance in those areas made it the major force in the computer entertainment industry in the early to mid-1980s. The brand has also been used at various times by Atari Games, a separate company split off in 1984.
In 2001, Spellbound developed Desperados: Wanted Dead of Alive, a real-time strategy in which the player controls up to six characters, it resembles Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines. In May 2006, Spellbound released the sequel, Desperados 2: Cooper’s Revenge.
In Desperados 2: Cooper’s Revenge, you control a gang of six bounty hunters on a rough and rowdy tour of the old Southwest. Each character you control has a unique set of skills and items you must master to survive the challenges you will face. It will take a combination of teamwork, stealth, deception and down-and-dirty gun slinging to survive.
The player can set the difficulty of the game from Pistolero, an easy mode with lightweight shootouts, extended KO times and bonus items have high values, to Desperados, a hard mode with challenging shootouts, shorter KO times and bonus items have only basic values.
Even though you can set the difficulty mode, the game is still hard because of the AI and mode of play. The controls are easy to memorize, the player can either play in the strategy mode, or in the third person mode, with fps controls. The last one is completely new to this genre of game because the player can get bored playing just in the birds eye view of the strategy mode. Also, this mode allows the player to actually take part in a shootout or sneak past guards more easily.
As I said, the game is hard and quite annoying in some cases, the player reloading the game several times before successfully completing an object. As such, players tend to either finish the game to see the storyline or just leave it as it is.

Hello there BytePress! :) I was just wondering how I can get hold of a strategy guide and/or manual for Desperados 2. If I can, please let me know, thanks. ;)
Well, it's easy. You can either google it or look for the manual in the CD/DVD of the game. Explore the CD/DVD and look for something that looks like a .chm file, or .pdf. Usually manuals come with the game, on the 1st or all CDs/DVDs. Hope it helped. Enjoy!
