Oh yes. It seems that Microsoft is making quite a desperate move to boost Crackdown sales, a free-roaming adventure game to be released this February by including a key that can be used to download a beta test of Halo 3.

The multiplayer beta begins in Q1, 2007, when Bungie Entertainment, in collaboration with Microsoft will also mark the fifth anniversary of the original Halo with the release of the Xbox 360 exclusive multiplayer maps for Halo 2, still a popular Microsoft title.
