Ubisoft is uncertain. As part of their official first half financial results press release, Ubisoft has confirmed that Splinter Cell: Conviction as well as its first-person shooter Haze, in development at Free Radical are being pushed back in Q1, 2008.

This happens right after Ubisoft confirmed the 14th of December release date for Haze while Splinter Cell: Conviction is delayed for an almost full year, for September 2008, as part of their next year’s line-up.

In other words, this means that Ubisoft are going to lose this Christmas shopping season, while personally annoying me for delaying a nice game - Splinter Cell: Conviction - more than a year, thing that is going to make a lot more fans angry.

"The targets previously announced by Ubisoft remain unchanged," read the statement, "as they already took into account the possible impact of these delays as a preventive measure." They also announced that Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 is going to launch in the same time as Haze.
